Really awful post office. Never open when the website says and closes way before it’s meant too. I have also been overcharged many times and staff are so rude.

They tried to charge me £3 to post a second class letter :/ They also lied and told me my letter was overweight and it wasn’t. If I didn’t know the letter weight classes or read the scale myself I would have been overcharged. If I didn’t know normal stamp costs I would have been overcharged. They also told me it would NOT arrive until after new year, but I’ve checked the collections - there’s a collection today (22nd), deliveries and collections tomorrow, deliveries and collections on the next day, deliveries and collections the day after (24th), as well as on the 30th and the 31st. So a complete and total lie - unless Royal Mail has changed their services and second class post now takes 6 working days to arrive?
They’re trying to take advantage of people at Christmas time by lying in order to make extra profit and it stinks.

Best to check weight of item and research the cheapest method of sending appropriate to your item using the website, in advance of visiting this post office. I was only offered expensive options inc. guaranteed, signature on delivery, tracked, etc. I had to insist on regular second class. My large envelope was charged as a small parcel (£3.90 for up to 2Kg) but, on doing the research too late, I realised it was within the dimensions and weight for a second class "Large Letter" (£2.70 up to 750g) testing with an identical item and envelope at home. Therefore, I was overcharged by this post office.
Before leaving, I was also trying to ascertain certain information about pricing in general, but I was just met with a quizzical, "uncomprehending" look, and told, "I've given you the cheapest price", as the Assistant could not, or did not wish to, answer my questions.
A great pity, as the Post Office at the top of Islingword Road has recently closed, and this one is simply not providing the expected good service.

Awful service, staff are rude and opening hours are sporadic and do not match with opening times on website. I've also had high value parcels go missing when posted from here. One of the most frustrating post offices I've had to deal with
